Which silencer do I need?

Axces silencers are grouped by damping technique and target attenuation. Use the guide below to narrow down a series, then pick your pipe size in the drawings list. All spark-arrestor variants are DNV, BV and RMRS type approved.

Absorptive type

Noise absorbed by acoustical fibre inside the silencer. Most effective in the mid–high frequency range.

Reactive type

Noise reduced by routing gas flow through separate chambers. Most effective in the lower–mid frequency range. Typically used as a pre-silencer for extra-low frequencies.

Reactive–absorptive type

Combines both techniques to reduce noise across the complete frequency range. The workhorse main-silencer family.

Spark arrestors (with attenuation)

Spark arrestors that also reduce noise, mountable in the exhaust gas system. Reactive, effective in the lower frequency range.

How to choose

Pick by frequency: low/rumble → Reactive (REF); broadband → Reactive-absorptive (REAB); mid–high whine → Absorptive (ABS).

Pick by attenuation: the number is the approximate dB(A) reduction; higher = quieter, larger unit. Add -IS when an integrated spark arrestor is required; use CP for a spark arrestor that also attenuates, or SA for spark arrest only.
