As Service Engineer you are Axces on site. You commission new SCR and silencer installations, service the ones already running, and you are the person who makes the system perform the way the data sheet promised. You measure emissions and noise, find the cause when numbers drift, fix it, and bring what you learn back to the engineering team so the next design is better. The role is field-based across Europe, with our Dutch site as your home base between trips.
What you’ll do
- Commission new SCR, silencer and exhaust installations: mechanical checks, dosing set-up, functional testing and performance verification.
- Service and maintain installed systems, plan interventions and resolve issues on site.
- Measure NOx, ammonia slip and boundary noise, and confirm equipment meets its guaranteed values.
- Troubleshoot dosing controls, catalyst performance and mechanical faults, often under live-plant constraints.
- Write clear service reports and feed field findings back into engineering.
- Build trusted working relationships with customers and their site teams.
What you bring
- An MBO/HBO-level technical education in mechanical, electrical or process engineering, or equivalent experience.
- A few years in field service, commissioning or maintenance of industrial equipment.
- Comfort with measurement instruments and basic control/PLC concepts.
- Willingness to travel within Europe (roughly 40–60%) and work independently on customer sites.
- A driving licence and professional English; further languages are a bonus.
- A calm, methodical approach to problems and a strong safety mindset.
What we offer
- Varied, hands-on work on equipment you can see the results of.
- A company vehicle, travel allowance and the kit to do the job properly.
- Direct line to the engineers who designed the systems you service.
- Competitive salary and benefits, the possibility of a permanent contract, and training to deepen your specialism.
